These Terms of Service govern the use of the Bedtime Stories service (bedtimestories.me) provided by Richtfest Tech UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Seegefelder Weg 317, 13591 Berlin ("we", "us"). By registering you accept these Terms.
The service is directed at adults (parents, grandparents, educators) aged 18 and over.
Registration requires a valid e-mail address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Notify us immediately at admin@bedtimestories.me if you suspect unauthorised access.
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. One account may have up to 5 child profiles.
We generate unique bedtime stories using AI models. Stories are created individually based on your inputs (age, genre, characters). We do not guarantee specific content or quality, but do filter generated content for age-appropriateness.
Stories can be read aloud using pre-made AI voices. Listening to stories costs Voice Points (depending on your plan). Voice cloning is not yet available.
You can share stories publicly. Public stories are moderated. We reserve the right to remove stories that violate these Terms.
We strive for 99 % monthly availability. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. We are not liable for downtimes caused by force majeure or third-party services (e.g. OpenAI outages).
Current prices are shown on the pricing page. Subscriptions are charged monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. If payment fails, access to paid features is suspended after a grace period.
Unused credits (Story Points, Voice Points) do not carry over between billing periods in the free plan. In paid plans, credits roll over for one billing period.
You receive a non-exclusive right to use generated stories and images for personal, non-commercial purposes. We retain no ownership of your stories. You are responsible for ensuring that your inputs (names, descriptions) do not infringe third-party rights.
For AI-generated content, note that copyright protection of purely AI-generated works is legally unsettled in many jurisdictions.
The following is prohibited:
You may cancel your subscription at any time in your account settings, effective at the end of the current billing period. Your library remains accessible in read-only mode for 30 days after cancellation, then is deleted.
We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms immediately and without prior notice.
We are not liable for the content of AI-generated stories. AI systems can produce unexpected outputs; our filters reduce but cannot eliminate this risk. Use of AI-generated content is at your own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for simple negligence is excluded. Liability for intent and gross negligence, injury to life, limb or health, and under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
German law applies. For consumers within the EU, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. For commercial users, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
We will notify you of material changes by e-mail at least 4 weeks in advance. If you do not object within this period, the new Terms take effect. The current version is always available at this URL. ---
8.1 The platform offers registered users the ability to clone their own voices via the inworld.ai service and use them exclusively for personal audio playback of their stories ("Voice Cloning Feature").
8.2 Using the Voice Cloning Feature consumes so-called "Voice Clone Points". Each cloned voice consumes exactly one Voice Clone Point. Voice Clone Points do not restock automatically; the quantity assigned per pricing plan represents the lifetime allowance.
8.3 Cloned voices are exclusively linked to the creating user account. They cannot be used for publicly shared or community-published stories, as playback outside the user's own account is technically not supported.
8.4 By confirming the consent declaration during the cloning process, the user certifies that they hold all required legal rights and consents of any person(s) whose voice is to be cloned. Uploading voice samples without the consent of the affected person is prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension as well as legal consequences.
8.5 Uploaded voice samples are transmitted to inworld.ai solely for the purpose of creating the voice model. After successful processing, voice samples are not permanently stored. The created voice model remains on inworld.ai servers and is only accessible through your account.
8.6 We enter into a data processing agreement with inworld.ai pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR to ensure data protection-compliant processing.
